The oldest CPU you have in regular use?

Been using an i5 750 for the last 6+ years now and I was looking at getting a new setup but honestly, I still can't fault the 750, with it @ 4GHz along with my 290, I can still max most new games out (no AA) with 50-60FPS and a frame latency of <20ms 90% of the time so I reckon I will have this CPU for at least another year unless there are some seriously good bargains come black Friday....

Had an old Pentium 4 @3GHz since 2005~, up until about a year ago, don't know if it counts.

Was a brilliant chip for me, had to leave the pc for dad in 2012, would still use it occasionally when on a visit.

Too bad it overheated and died, apparently my electric engineer dad couldn't be arsed to clean the dust xD

AMD Athlon 64 3400+ 2.4 GHz on my daily use PC built Nov 2004. Used every day for hours and originally built for BF2:D. Not played games on it since 2007 ish when BF2 PR mod was killing it and BSD was happening. Think it was stressing out the Nvidia Geforce 6800GT card that still remains in it today. Used for browsing and music and email nowadays but its my main use PC. Was playing with the idea a few years ago of a new rig but bought a factory new expensive car so just kept this running. Only thing replaced has been I now have a year old ASUS 27” as the old Viewsonic bought I think in 2003 gave up the ghost, well the on off switch did. Gets a good clean every six months.

New rig later this year early next as I’ve started buying steam games for it on sale and backed the new Elite game on KS that I played as a kid. OC order naturally and happy for the pro’s to build and test it:cool:. Just waiting for the prices to creep down on what is dear just now like that 980ti card etc. Going Intel this time on the CPU front.

Bought some cheap as chips core 2 duo pcs for work. They just needed a few basic desktop computers and for the silly money they go for they are great bargains and are proving as reliable as ever.

Until about 2 months ago I actually had a core 2 duo 3.0Ghz DDR2 PC as my server and it did very well.

As soon as I upped to windows 10 though it showed its age and stopped running well.

It's now an AMD 6350 :D more than enough for server, running a couple of VM's and hosting my mumble, http fileserver, ftp fileserver and my other things. Eventually I will decommision my 970GTX and put in in there and use it to run the Steam streaming facility as a central hub.

Samsung NC10 netbook with a 1.6GH Atom.

Still my go to travelling companion if I'm slumming it backpacker style and don't want to be flashing expensive tablets around.

I was using an i7 920 until recently and it was preforming just fine tbh. I've just popped in an X5660, I think I'll get another couple of years out of it.
