The oldest part in your PC is....

I migrate parts from my PC to my daughters PC as I upgrade. This is quite an effective soloution for keeping my PC relatively up to date.....

Currently sitting on the 'to migrate' pile of bits, is a Sound Blaster Audigy card from 2001, which will see itself back in operation this weekend.

In my PC though, I have a 3.5 FDD which must be getting on for 10 years or more. :D

plextor DVD writer cant remember the model , about 6years now , think its on its last legs

probably one of the screws to mount the mobo one of them is probably original from my first build when I was 16. There is nothing older than 3 months in my main rig. Externally I have my Logitech G7 that's over a year old.

Not "in" my PC strictly speaking, but my Chieftec Dragon case is just over 6 years old. Floppy drive from around the same period. Got a 160gig Maxtor HD purchased 11th May, 2004 according to my receipts.

Bit of kit that I bought the longest ago is my TDK DVD writer, bought late 2004. It didn't actually go into the machine until spring 2006, along with my current case, floppy drive and motherboard (939Dual-SATA2).

My MX1000 mouse is the oldest part, going to have to be 3-4 years old now and I have worn a grove in the thumb rest!

Inside my actual computer its probably my 4400+ or Silentmaxx enclosure now as they are 3 and a bit years old now.
