The oldskool rave music (early 90s) thread

Relating to this topic, have anyone here been to an event called Amnesia House? I was too young in its original years, but they have started back up again and do 2 or 3 gigs a year at the Kasbah nightclub in Coventry. I went last October and I'm booked again for this October. They do early 90s rave with live MC-ing and sing-overs. Lots of horns and whistles with an older crowd. There is also a robot on the stage (obviously with someone inside it) making some moves and firing laser pointers everywhere. The production in the Kasbah club is decent with all of the walls including the ceiling covered with LED squares that interact with the music. It's a big venue as it used to be a cinema.

As a 90s raver myself and a number of friends over the past few years have been attending a lot of the rave revival events, day raving Clockwork Orange and such. Without a shadow of a doubt I can say the atmosphere and fun has been off the scale, fantastic music with everyone attending just getting on, having a great time and zero aggro.

Thanks for the heads up @GSXRMovistar ! Please can you name some of the other franchises alongside Clockwork Orange? I know there's Flashback, as I was young enough to remember that in the late 90s and they've been holding an annual day/evening rave every June. I went last year at The Mill in Birmingham and it's on again this year next month at the same venue, except it's now called XOYO. Just a name change. Amnesia which I previously mentioned is a day rave as well.

I did 'Rave Days 1st Birthday' at the London XOYO a couple of weeks back, that was fun day. Event wise we normally just see what's advertised on Shine and Centreforce radio, seems to be the same groups of people turning up to all the various events. I've got Clockstock booked for next month and Summer Shakedown at 93 Feet East the following month.

You lucky people... I know tons of oldskool hardcore.. some real obscure tracks

Ill kick things off with this one

on the tough toonz label pretty sure this was a 93 choon

Cheers for the thread bump guys :-)

2 days ago, I attended the Amnesia House gig @ Kasbah nightclub in Coventry (day rave). One of the sets was from Orbital, while not technically rave music, it was from the 1990-1993 era of dance music and it was a blast! The rest of the day/evening was rave from the same 90-93 era and a lot of the YouTube links in this thread was covered. Amnesia House is on twice a year every April and October. Highly recommended.

The mid-2020s is a great time for retro clubbing with franchises from the 90s stepping back up. It attracts a crowd that is mostly in their 40s / early 50s as they were the cohort that saw it 1st time round in the 90s.

Feel free to drop any other day or night time rave recommendations. Know the score, hardcore.
