Seeing as Stoutmeister seems to want someone to jump in, I may as well. Got nothing much else to do:

Thought I would start with this and then if you comment on any possible changes I can make them before worrying about compression to make it actually sig legal.

I don't think the text could get any more grungey, I did it with the pen tool

The text in that sig is definitely my favourite out of all of them so far, it looks great. I also really like the sig style of G-mann's less the red shadow - I'll go back to this later! However, I think I have identified why all attempts so far have looked slightly unusual to my eyes... they use lower caps! I think I just like the contrast between 'formal' capital letters written in a disorganised way, without that first letter 'leading' the word. If it were possible for your to do that in capitals, I think you might have it

I've also had a long thing to try and identify exactly what it is that 'does it' for me, so I went on google and plucked out some modern art I liked to try and reduce the chasing of wild geese:

I think that the colour is the most striking thing about these and although some of them are too busy I love the contrasts. So I guess bold but and striking but slightly more minimalistic is more up my alley than smudgy or fading colours.

Hopefully that'll help anyone who dare take up this insane and irritating challenge

Just tracked down the site you got those images from Nitefly, some amazing stuff and only ~£90! I wish I had more money or I'd buy a few in a flash

Anyway, this is more striking, colourful and has capital letters.

Although it is 72KB so if you do like it I will have to flatten the image and resave.

Guys! Those are the bomb, pretty much exactly what I'm looking for and I applaud you for your fantastic efforts. However, if I were to pick one, which I will (sig rotating not my thing), then for change it's going to have to be the orange one as it'll make a great change.

DJ Martin, I would love to have that as my signature, if you would do me the honours! Would it be possible to do a few variations of the text (size, slightly alternating hight of letters, dunno) so I could then pick my favourite? My only reasoning was that if you are going to be wearing something a lot, you want to ensure you are as happy as ever was possible! Really like the current one though, so no problem if you don't fancy it
