ive just been playing something called a quarter match, basically its winner stays on but when you are waiting in line, you get to watch the match being played, its a great little feature :)

Then this should be the way to go if we can set up some parties of 4-8 people, I assume you can all chat when in the party.

iirc mario kart snaking is quicly drifting from left to right, to gain lots of speed, i could never get the hang of it though

And this is bad because?

Might actually give this a miss due to the 360 D Pad - how are people finding it ?
Try the trial.

Snaking is the technique of permanently remaining on boost. It means roughly every second you do a boost slide. On the straights this means snaking from left to right etc. Snaking also means you pretty much don't slow down off road and so more shortcuts become feasible.

Much liek wavedashing and L cancelling in smash bros melee. When the new smash bros goes online loads of people who thought they were good will once again whine due to these advanced techniques there were ignorant of.

Edit: snaking isn't bad, it's just that some people would prefer to just hold the go button on straights. Nintendo have officially stated that snaking is an intentional technique so those whinging about it being unfair are just being rather dim.

I think all future Speakers Corners debates should be settled at the stalemate stage with some SF2 action :)
I just hope the tree huggers are rubbish at it lol.

I'll quite gladly take on the right-wing fascist junta of SC.

Bring the revolution!!!

:p

Had a few games this morning. The a controls where ok for me had Hadoken's flying all over! Just need to brush up now. :)

I think I'm the only SC user on the right with a 360 (although I lost interest in SC some time ago) and I suck at SF2.

I think you might be the only one on the left with a 360 too.

I just hope you suck at SF2 more than me then :p

Meh, I'm going to need practice with the 360 controller for this. The moves don't seem to flow for me as nicely as they should.

Used to play this in the arcades every lunch time when I was at college oh so many years ago :p

I managed to source a DOA4 arcade stick. Will post what its like once its arrived! But in the meantime has anyone been using one with SF?

Just playing this now..seems pretty good to me.
You don't need to use the D pad for movement etc..you can use the analogue stick just fine. It seems pretty responsive and I've been managing to pull a few 'Paul Newmans' ok.
You can easily alter the shape/size of the screen to fill it to 16:9 if you need to.

Cool! I just need to try the Live stuff now.

Seems good so far, though getting an actual match on live without a timeout seems very hit and miss.
Quarter match seems to work fine though.
Yes the pad sucks big ones for this type of game. Think I have covered all the points now LOL

And so the cheating begins...

Some people disconnect their internet now it seems if they are about to lose..

Well just tried the trial and am now not sure if i'm getting this i found the controls a little off putting although I could do most of the special moves It took a few attempts to do it. I think I will have to play the trial version a bit more and then decide if I will purchase it as I need some more marketplace points.

DOA4 had that feature plus a little games lobby thing where your little characters could run around and chat to each other, quite pointless but was still something else to do in the game.
