Yes but the reason shouldnt be because his child died but then again I suppose that is the only thing that has affected him personaly. I would assume if he knew any of the police that were attacked on the 6th Jan his reason would be the same for Trump.

There was no permanent moderation,of what was a complete nothing-burger.

This is actually a great example of moderation of misinformation being objective. Once there was objective evidence the news was spread widely on Twitter, as this was information that could be objectively stated as true or false once sufficient evidence was gathered.

Of course the evidence was there, Trumps lawyer had it, he dumped it on the NYP..

Objective:
"(of a person or their judgement) not influenced by personal feelings or opinions in considering and representing facts."

and subjective:
"based on or influenced by personal feelings, tastes, or opinions."

Now, I don't care if people thought Guiliani was a loon, or that the NYP is the beano, but when your opinion and feelings of those stop you from representing the facts, that is you being subjective..

So whilst misinformation could be objectively discovered, it wasn't was it.. instead a load of subjectivity got in the way and we ended up with actual misinformation of saying it was those pesky Russians.. those are the facts.. how we feel about the people invovled doesn't magically make it objective, it just makes it more subjective.

I mean, the literal facts prove that whatever objective mechanism you think Twitter use that is flawless, failed.. they ended up spreading misinformation themselves, the laptop was real and it wasn't Russian misinformation..

I think you should understand that Tony doesn't care if something is true or not, he just wants his side to win. When you've decided the other side of the debate is evil you don't care too much about being objective; that's where Tony is.

Of course it’s a red herring. Only a tiny fraction of the emails on that laptop have been authenticated and there is nothing in them that involves Joe Biden, the actual candidate. Pulling that laptop out just before the election was just like wiki leaks releasing the hacked emails before the 2016, at least those emails were authentic, they were already known.

I think generally people with opposing viewpoints to mine are often well meaning but ultimately wrong. I think you'd think the opposition are basically evil people who don't have the best intentions, right? If that is the case then why would you be objective in the face of what you believe to be evil. So we can't have an honest debate essentially.
 
Ah yes @Tony Edwards it's all your fault that no one can have an honest debate with roar, it's not Roars fault that he has to (ironically or unironically I forget which has claimed) resort to saying users aren't alpha, that they "have small arms" in a debate.

again i stopped here because it is just laughable. Trump is a serial liar, who broke all records for the number of lies by a US politician. And his lawyers were no better by support him, hence some of them risk being disbarred.

The fact the evidence ended up in Trump:s hands was exactly why it was suspected as fake information and Twitter took the very smart position of waiting until there was actually any reliable reference.

Honestly, you just make yourself look like a fool.

Making a decision without the facts based on your opinion and feelings about a person is a subjective decision, period.

Sorry to be black and white, but this post just highlights how I think you are slightly blind to subjectivity. Take the new term "Reliable reference".. that brings in another problem, who decides the requirements for who is or isn't reliable? what even is 'reliable'? It's just going to lead to another subjective decision.

Honestly, I'm just glad that Twitter got called out for the Hunter biden laptop, we all don't like Trump, but why give him ammunition and open yourself up to legitimate criticism like this? The moment you decided who is and isn't trustworthy (especially in polticial circles) you really are on a hiding to nothing..

There was never, ever any systematic bias against right wing politics. It ia just that right wing posters were more likely to use misinformation, spread hate speech, incite violence, or post illegal content.


In fact, right ring political tweets seemed to get more visibility, so if there was any bias it negativity impacted left wing parties and viewpoints

Elon the guy who owns it, and has access to everyhinthing, and who has historically always voted Democrat and views himself as a moderate has again tweeted today with tweets saying how wrong you are

Amazing how blinded users like you on this forum are, everything has to be left or right with you, and you'll just agree with anyone with your point of view. Elon isn't a far left wokey that agrees with everything WaPo and CNN so therefore he's "far right" conspiracy therorist.
