http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/jersey/7267329.stmWhy does it seem horrendous?
Obviously, but its a very sensitive issue, as you later go on to say.But why hold back it's release? Most people recognise the difference between entertainment and real news.
Its not really a case of people being 'offended', more that it looks like those involved with the release of the film are being pretty insensitive. In fact I would be willing to bet that those abused would be pretty upset something very real and traumatic to them, which at present is strongly affecting them, being presented as a hollywood 'popcorn muncher'.Honestly though, who is going to get offended?
Would a former resident, now grown up, feel aggrieved and upset that there is a horror movie currently on release called The Orphange?
The only people I can think would care are do-gooder politically correct types who like to have a whinge - not saying that's you btw![]()

I'm not 'disgusted' at all, I would have just thought they would have tip toed around the issue a tad more gently. It was headline news about 3 weeks ago after all!I think you are over reacting and see only the reference of it being an Orphanage resulting in your disgust.
