My mistake ... I clicked on new posts and seen this topic ..i then seen jabbs talking about GRAW i thought he was asking about the demo for GRAW .

I did not realise this was the console section ..and im sorry .

So i will leave and never return ...Unless you wish to argue that the xbox version of GRAW is better than the PC version :D

The outfit looks like a very good game and will no dout be far better on the PC than console :p

I'm just messing mate but I'd certainly like to see a comparison between the different versions.

So would i ... Grin have given nothing away regarding the PC version , But all the hype surrounding the Xbox version is supposed to be just that ..hype .

Or not.. considering we have videos of it running on the 360 which look fantastic. Graphics wise it will depend on the power of your Pc no doubt, but bang for buck wise, the xbox is always going to win.. coupled with the ease of running it on an xbox, no installation, no incompatabilities..

Are both versions not identical in terms of gameplay?

Doesn't seem so, think the pc version is going to be more tactical based, harder to just pick up and play like the previous versions which I suppose is understandable, personally I haven't really enjoyed any version of GR all a bit to much work for me, looking forward to the 360 version being a little easier to get into.
 
Odd to say that about GR:AW on the 360, 360's only £280, you'll not get a PC for that price thats gona run it, and look just as well, your talking about that just for your graphics card, you gona need a walloping great CPU, 2gb Ram, Motherboard etc... as yet. :D

If you can show me a PC that will do GR:AW the same as the 360 for £280 ill be amazed, be even more amazed if you could do GOW as well. :eek:

Im in 2 minds about the Outfit.

By hype im talking about UBI withholding info on the PC version untill the xbox version is for sale .

UBI have done some kind of deal with microsoft that is stopping the PC version in its tracks .

The idea is that GRAW is going to be the game that sells the xbox 360 to the world ...You know how it happens .. New console needs a super dupper game to get people to buy the console ..GRAW is the game that will sell a boat load of consoles .

But the fact is the PC version is being made by a differnt development team and is going to be a much better more tactical game .

The only links i can give you is the one to the UBI PC forum and you can have a snoop around .

The fact that the dev team manager had to use a non UBI forum to realease an appoligy says it all to me .

Hi guys

On behalf of the GRIN team I fell obliged to step in here and say we're sorry for the delay. I can't go out and talk on the reason but I know all you hardcore fans are really disappointed not to be playing in March. I wont jump around with fancy marketing words all I can say is that we are doing a hell of a effort to get this game out and at the same time as good as possible.

This game is to stand the test of time as GR1 did and that is no small thing. What we are into now is a lot of testing and balancing. And NO the AI is in fact one of the best ever created if you like tactical play that is.

I hope some screens or videos can be released very soon to back up my words.

As for the X360 it looks great and I truly think the console fans will get what they want.

As for the PC fans we take a totally different approach and I think both games are rocking. Now we just want to make sure the PC is really all it can be.

Sorry, i just cant believe that this is an official statement.
 
Gord i have been playing GR since the first night the demo was leaked on to the net .

In that time i have seen and herd a lot , Belive me that is( all be it unofficial ) the only thing we have been told about GRAW , I know it must sound crazy and i myself find it hard to get my head round .

UBI canceled GR 2 for the PC 2 days befor it was due to go on sale and thay told us it was due to the fact that thay had allready started work on GRAW ( It had no name back then ) and thay did not whant to give us a game that would not meet our needs ... lame excuse .

Thay told us that GRAW PC would be ready april 2005 and then told us in june that it had been set back and been given to GRIN to develop ..since then all we have had is a few renders screen shots and a bootleg copy of a video made by somone at the lipzig computer fair .

Thay have told us nothing , Apart from the date of March 2006 , Then the other day a report on gamespot that GRAW had been put back till may / june ...nothing from ubi .

That ment uproar in the GR community and all kinds of mandness went on .... Up step's Bo grin to set the record straight .

This saga needs to be seen to be belived , I kid you not UBI have gone all out for the microsoft cash cow , But the xbox version is totaly diffrent from the PC version ....pc is said to be better but thay are holding it back to get the Xbox sales first .

I can only tell you what i know ...

PC version is said to be better by who? That's what I want to know. I'm not trying to defend the 360 or anything, I really want to know what the differences are going to be.

Just how, exactly, is the PC version going to be better than the 360 version?

pc version is supposed to be more tacticle based, where as i think the 360 version will be a bit more pick up n playto appeal to a wider market
