This one may have gone a bit under the radar...got to be said, the next 12 months looks like an amazing time to be a gamer, my steam wishlist has swelled from 10 or so items to almost 30 in the last few weeks

I enjoyed my playthrough of the first one but it was very 'old school' warts and all. Story, characters, dialog options were great but the actual combat was passable at best. This is the area that will need some polish/improvement for me to get the next one.

I posted the trailer in the console section as it was an xbox trailer, but yeah. This is easily one of the best game trailers I've seen in a very long time and gives me high hopes for the sequel. I loved the first game, can't wait for more info about this one!

Yeah, I'd say thats a very accurate assessment, I'd agree with that, I'm sure its something they will be aware of when it comes to making the sequel and look to address it.

I played through the first one once, and haven't been back to it, didn't pull me in at all, I think I finished it without visiting all the planets because it never really gave me a reason to go to them. Was expecting better from obsidian if I'm honest.

Who am I kidding? Of course I'll be buying this.

I hope they can get the combat balance sorted out though, I played 1 on the highest difficulty, getting to the starter town was tough, but, other than the planet where you could choose the difficult landing zone, that was the last time it was really challenging.

after all the hype for the first purely based on being the "people who made new vegas", i found it rather lacking. It was just "fine". Worth a play, but nothing particularly amazing. hopefully now that they've done some world building, the next one can really nock it out of the park.

My only complaints from the first was that it was really short and the lack of diversity in the planets/enemies. Felt like the game had less than 5 different targets to shoot at

Other than that, I loved it. Charmed my way through the game

My problem with the original was it felt so damn devoid of everything, it completely lost me when I got to the capital city thing and 99% of buildings were duds and about 3 roaming citizens yet the storyline was to make me believe they had a population issue.... I accepted it for Skyrim and Fallout 3/NV but in this day and age there is no excuse. Witcher 3 managed to make places feel populated.

The first was really good, came in with low expectations but the gameplay was refreshing, bug-free, great audio and fun gunplay. The characters were maybe a little wooden at times though.
