...shame he got caught.

What an idiot, but then he is a rich idiot with 21 million pounds.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/edinburgh_and_east/5052372.stm

A bank manager carried out a £21m fraud on his employers as they named him business manager of the year.
Donald Mackenzie, 45, admitted at the High Court in Edinburgh to taking loans over five years up to March 2004 from the Royal Bank of Scotland by fraud.

He should have resigned or faked his own death....

I would have stopped at 2 million or something like that but 21 million!! That's just asking for it.

It just goes to show the weak trait in human - Greed.

Perhaps his sentence is appropriate and the sentences given to rapists and murderers are too lenient?

Nah man the sentence imo is too harsh and the ones on rapist on paedophile is too lenient (i agree)

Fair enough El Razur matey, but I think across the board sentances should be stricter, I would like to see relatively smaller crime like burglary increased from 6 months to 18-36 months etc. Paedophiles should be in Jail for life mandatory unless people are absolutely convinced they are no longer a threat, armed robbery minimum 15 years murderers 20 year etc.

For such a large scale crime as 25 million pounds 10 years to me sounds about right.

Can't be that good - he's got 10 years in jail and I can't see anyone employing him once he's out.

I dont support him but i think he wont need a job when he gets out. I will assume some monies are hidden some where safe. On top of that, i doubt if the bank will act on that "loophole" - Just watch the news as someone else pulls off a similar crime.
