The Photography Show

I'll be going and I've not been before, most likely on the Monday.

Got no intention of purchasing anything though, I just like to browse and have a chat :D
 
Yeah I am going. This year is all new for those that are not aware. It used to be called Focus on Imaging. This year its called The Photography show, run by totally different people so I am not sure anyone will know what the discounts or others things maybe like till we get there.
 
I'm probably not going, there's nothing I want.

My advice, is to sign up as a Professional, that way you get in for free.
I signed up for it 2 years ago, but didn't go.
Last year, they sent me a free "professional" entry ticket, so I went.

Another bit of advice, park at a nearby railway station and catch the train to the NEC, it's cheaper (or free, as they probably won't check for tickets) than the rip off parking fees.

I'll be there. Kind of hoping there aren't any good deals on 5D3s or I might have a big "accident" :)

Been to Focus on Imaging a few times and the Jacobs stand (before they went out of business obviously) often had some very good deals.
 
I'm going, I might learn a few things as I'm still fairly new to photography. My Dad is off to Africa this year so I'm bringing him along to get a feel for some of the new Tech on offer.
 
I'll be going on the Monday (5th) hoping for some good offers on tripods - preferably a CF Silk Road :D

Is anyone else going to the talks? I'll be at the Joe McNally one at lunchtime.
 
FYI, there's a promotion on at the show of double the usual Canon cashback on stuff bought from selected retailers (Calumet, Camera World & LCE).

The prices are decent to start with too. For example both Calumet & Camera World were doing the 5D3 for £2299 which works out as £1999 after the double cashback which is a very good deal for a "proper" UK sourced example.

I manage to resist. Just! :|

My god, I didn't know that. I've been off work too so I could have gone and bought stuff :(
 
Yeah I had no idea until I spotted one of the vendors showing the 5D3 with £300 cashback and asked what the deal was. Hasn't been very well publicised.

Show is on until Tuesday.

I'm back in work tomorrow, so that's that then :( It's dead easy for me to get there, or pretty much any major city from here. Just a train ride to Chester, then from there it's straight forward!
 
The show was okay!

didn't know what to expect really as ive never been, glad I registered online as its something I wouldn't pay for


still can get the 5D3 cheaper else ware.
