I enjoyed the show.

It was a chance to try some of the lenses on my wish list.

Very impressed with the EF 100mm IS Macro, that is my next lens.

Also impressed with the Giotos Carbon Fibre Silhouette Tripods, they seem quite rigid and less prone to vibrating.

The Canon 5D MK III is lovely......

My first lens was 100mm macro and it's my favourite by a long way.
It a lens that beats my expectations

It is highly regarded by the photography magazines too. It does seem quite versatile.

works well as a portrait lens as well. it spends most time on my cam

Yes & no. There was one on display inside a case on the Sigma stand but, according to the person we spoke to, it was only a display model and didn't have any working innards. It's obviously very close though.

Went on Saturday. Was OK, a lot to see. That Sigma 400-1000mm was a monster

The stuff on the main stage though, what a letdown that they weren't showing the results on the massive screens they had around the stage. They went through the demos/tutorials and you couldn't see the results unless you were right next to the tog's laptop/screen...
