Got my new camera yesterday, Canon 350D :D

Over the day (including two workmates having a go, and saying how it isn't as good as there 400d / 40d respectively) a few hundred pictures were taken!

Here is my favourite:

Haven't taken any pics for a while, so may have made some n00b errors as far as the general rules of photography go, but it is the first time I've been able to take a long exposure shot during daytime :D

Any opinions on this one? I like it but feel it needs something (apart from me not being behind the lens :D )

Allready played with levels etc.

That's an awesome image - really like that and I bet it would look awesome printed. Can we see the original for a comparison?

That is one of my few "decent" pictures I'm hoping to print and frame on my wall when I get the funds :)

Here's the original in 800x600, only adjusted in lightroom. Nothing impressive in terms of sharpness, thus the use of filters to make it, imo, nicer.

That's a cool windmill, great shot as well. If you're looking for crits the only thing I could think of is to pull back slightly and have more space around the windmill but then I suppose you loose the detail in the arches by doing that..

Thanks :)

Yeah I was looking for wider shots, but it meant going into the field more, also need a wider lens I think but that means going SLR.

I'm going to go back there on another nice day and see if there are any other viewpoints for it. Dont think I had my circ pol on either so I think the sky looks a bit washed out, maybe later in the evening will be better but I wanted to get back for the football :p

Crappy picture just to test out my new 50mm F1.8, seems fairly sharp but need to get used to the DOF at 1.8, there isn't much to play with :D
