Didn't spot your spider shot earlier, the focus is spot on! Very cool!
 
Rojin, I'm not sure about Sunday League football, but for league football we can't post our shots on third-party sites. :mad: It's the datco agreement. :mad:Rubbish, but thats life. Just a heads up. ;)

Also, remember to try and capture the action. Not just a player looking up to send in a pass.

#2 captures it perfectly :D but you could crop in the empty right hand side.


Papers don't really care about 3:2 ratios. Heck often they crop out feet themselves etc. :p

Yeah it was very overcast, I was using the Sigma 120-300 f2.8.

Good point, it's non league (just a local league div 6!) but I'll check it out. There wasn't a lot if action, as in contact/tackling going on, hence the 11-2 scoreline! :D

I don't know why I didn't crop tighter with these, it was late and I was tired!

Actually come to think of it, it's played on public open space so can't see any issues :)

I used the 50mm 1.8 for these and used ISO800 and ISO1000 - I had no noise issues either, pleasantly surprised as I rarely shoot high ISO.
 
Having a play with the IR gear over the weekend, IR filter on a 50mm f1.8, pointed out over Ashton Court, Bristol.. I am really happy with how this has turned out and it has given me an idea for some more unusual portraits.

I cant say I'm sold on the image. Cant really expand too much on that though. lighting is fine, not overly keen on the pose (although I've seen weirder ones, fashion photography luddite (sp) that i am). Its just not jumping out and grabbing my attention like some of your other shots have. :)
