After months of self torture debating if I should take the plunge and pick myself up my first DSLR I finally caved and picked up a D5000 with twin lens kit. Still very much to learn but great fun too.

Female salticus scenicus, or zebra jumping spider. Took this with my ghetto macro setup:

Males are far easier to photograph, as they tend to sit. Females move constantly (or at least this one did)!

Wouldn't say they're brilliant but they're a couple of the best from some photographs I took at the Coleford Festival of Transport on Monday. Couldn't really be technical or artistic due to the amount of people walking around not paying attention whether they were walking in front of people taking photos or not.
