That's what I was aiming to achieve. I have tried editing them using Picasa (google) and this is what I achieved. Be cool to see what could happen with someone knowing what they were doing lol

Dude,

The colours in those are really vibrant and well caught. I find a lot when i'm in trees that the colours become quite washed out and the greens not so green.

Also, i personally think you've captured the water speed perfectly with the right shutter speed. All the magazines bang on about long exposures to give water a continuous flow to it... but i think it makes it look unnatural and more like something out of a dream. In your pictures, you've got just the right amount of blur, which shows the speed of the water yet also that it is actually a waterfall, and water flowing off of rocks is quite erratic and not always a perfect continuous flow.

Cheers :) I'm actually heading back down to that location in a couple of weeks time. This time I'll have a much better camera and will be playing a lot more :D I was more focused on trying to catch the rays of light coming through first - gonna read up some more on that first.

The 9600 was struggling with the lighting conditions for this lot, this was probably the best shot I got out of about 200, got to love digital :)

All I've done is resize it.

This is my first post in the photography section so please be kind :)

I'm new to photography and had a Canon 1000d bought for me as a present. Went to the local park today to try it out and really like this photo i managed to shoot.
