Yup, the 50mm 1.8 is on my buy this. If Christmas wasn't here I'd already have it

I definitely need to learn on how to keep the camera straight though... Then again that was the only photo. I was with others so I felt I was holding up but further on in the day I just decided screw it and took my time

Yeah. I've made the choice to shoot in RAW mainly so I can use edit in post easily.

edit, that was 2mm and my dof was 1mm

used a 3cm tube with canon 100mm L macro on 60D
unfortunately no ring flash and that is cropped as my lens barrel was already causing a creeping shadow

Came across this old image the other day, taken just after getting my first SLR for our trip to New York. At this point in time it was used as a point and shoot and I was terrified of AT, TV or anything other than Auto.
