Bit of story with this picture. I was asked to take photos at a memorial charity match for a local lad who sadly died near the end of 2010 aged 15 in a boxing accident. The match took place in April this year at Glebe Park, home of Brechin City FC.
The guy sat on the pitch is Steve Mitchell, who until last month was chief reporter at the Brechin Advertiser but he suddenly died suddenly in early May. He is the guy who got me a press pass so I could take pictures at the away games for the paper and which has led to me becoming the club photographer at Brechin City FC.
I dropped a CD of a selection of photographs i took that day to the mother of the lad who died last year and hoped that it would remind her and the family of happier times and how Andrew's classmates and friends pulled together to make the memorial match a day of joy rather than sadness.

P.S. I do love the 2.35:1 aspect ratio!

They are a PITA to print (or design an album with)...imagine the client goes to boots with the disc and print them out!

I get squirrels in the tree outside my window in work from time to time, they spent the last week gorging on the fruit.

I can't stress enough how beautifully sharp, bright and vivid these photos are. Amazing.

My first proper go at some HDR shots... As this is my first attempt I did "overcook" them a little, but I like them. I think the horse ones are my favourite as they almost look like paintings
