The power of the Banana.....

Mashed up banana in a bowl add milk to cover mashings and sprinkle on some sugar.
Loverly!!

Just what I was going to say. Only I prefer two bananas and cream instead of milk.

Also good mashed and spread on toast.

Also sliced and under your cornflakes.

And what is custard without bananas sliced up in it?

I think bananas should be eaten when the outer skin is a bit black. They are a bit "furry" when very yellow.

I have a banana for breakfast every morning.

I once read that banana skins have been used to line the slipway for launching very large ships. Don't know if this is just a bit of wartime propaganda though. If it was during the war there was a banana shortage so where did the skins come from?

Also, talking of the skin of a banana, to lower the tone somewhat and at the risk of getting banned - according to the internet gentlemen, if you are feeling "lonely" the banana skin is your best friend.;)

I always have a banana before I go on a 6.5 mile run and when I did marathons my wife would be at the 13 mile point with a banana and mars bar.

I also love banana sarnies.

My father in law can't be in the same room as a banana.
When he comes we have to make sure there are no visible bananas anywhere.

Bananas are awesome. Nothing beats a banana sandwich in my opinion. Ooh and chopped bananas and apple in milk too, yum!

The only downside to them is that they give off something that makes other fruit rot quicker. Its like they are trying to take over the fruit world or something! :D

I prefer oranges. Is it just me or are bananas really slimy, eve the smell makes me wanna hurl slightly i just don't, never have and never will like tht texture, but the way the skin comes off is cool.

Dude try it, sprinkle it lightly and you find if you leave the sarnie for a minute or two the sugar will caramelize, it be lurrrrrrrrrvly.

No no no! Honestly, the youth of today...!
Banana sarnies have honey in them. If you make them in the morning and eat them at lunchtime it crystalises in the bread and makes it kinda crunchy.

Mashed bananas and cream used to be one of my favourite childhood desserts. Haven't had it for decades!

I'm surprised no one here is extolling the virtues of the banana and peanut butter sandwich, truly great whether cold or toasted.
