I ahve just finished reading an article on serving sizes in America and how they are misleading, this is something which most people will have noticed e.g. 500ml bottle of Cola is two servings.

The article makes some good points but when it starts out with,

"According to its label, a pint of Häagen-Dazs ice cream contains four servings. But when was the last time you measured out a fourth of a container of Cookies & Cream, then put the rest away for another day?"

What kind of tubbo makes a habit of eating a pint of ice cream on a regular basis?

Any other products with misleading serving sizes? Cooking sprays i hear you say,

"One of the most popular, PAM, boasts zero calories and zero fat on the label of its original canola cooking spray. But that information refers to a spray lasting just a quarter of a second."

Fine, misleading but here is what the pressue group is advocating,

“That’s just not the way people use them,” Mr. Jacobson said. “It’s probably impossible to spray for a third of a second. We suggested six seconds might be kind of reasonable.”

Six seconds, SIX!

Is it just me or have some people lost their common sense in respect of food.

if I had a container with a pint of ice cream in, I would eat it in a single sitting.

Fair enough but you wouldn't need rely on a label to tell you not to do that all the time.

It's a treat, i would argue that most people who buy ice cream would share it or have a scoop or two when they are out and about on a hot day.

1/4 of a pint is a pretty good scoop by anyones standards.

My favourite food labelling is the:

**ONLY 100Calories!!** in 1/7th of a slice of this Pizza.

Where the labeling is deliberately trying to mislead, i can understand people asking for more control but it does come back to people not having a clue.

To misquote Generation Kill, There is something wrong when the poorest members of society are the fattest, something which has never been known in the history of mankind.

I stopped eating the Tesco finest cookies after doing a quick search on their website as there's no information on the packaging.

Here's the info here:http://www.tesco.com/superstore/xpi/5/xpi56863275.htm

To think I used to eat 2-4 cookies a day and on some week's 3-4 packs.

I agree with others that some food product information could be clearer

Considering a chocolate digestive is 100 calories, were you really that suprised?
