The program that lets you play all video on ps3?

Can anyone tell me the name of the program that lets you play all the types of video files on the ps3? Got a few that won't work but work on my pc

Just as a comment on this sort of concluded thread.. how amazingly easy is it to get the PS3 set up with this!? (rhetorical)

I have literally configured nothing myself on the PS3, the net connection, the display and now the media server.. it all just works and I was watching my movies straight away..

not used it on the ps3 myself, trying to get it to work on the xbox though i gave up

ooOo was bout to stop trying then looked in the setting and noticed I din't have always transcode on

Good program, i used it a lot on my ps3. Havent used it since i formatted my pc. However you have just reminded me about the program, so installing now.

tversity converts files like divx on the fly so things like the ps3/360 can play them if they other wise cant, i couldnt get it to work though on the 360 and the ps3 plays most files anyway.

I can't get tversity to work properly. It just wont transcode any videos properly. I just make sure I download files the PS3 can play either directly or with very little effort, like MKVs.

Back in the old days it was tricky, particularly if you had System Shock 2 installed on your PC. It took me bloody ages to suss that problem out
