Ok, so last time I posted pictures of my car, is had a knackered rear beam, crap trim and rubbish wheels. Thats changed! I had the rear beam replaced with a refurbed one a few weeks ago. My trim is still off getting a refurb, but I've got some new wheels in the meantime:

And, of course, 4 of these:

Thoughts?

They're original 205 GTi alloys..... But painted black, which I think suits the car well.

Original they may be, but black makes it look like a scabby ***** mobile.

Maybe they'll look better once it's all cleaned up and the rest of the car finished.

I had some new Eagle F1's fitted yesterday and they have "Made in China" stamped on them - but these ones have Germany, have I been robbed? :(

In which case, yes, looks a lot better.

I assume this is on ongoing thing, as you stated it's a project :)

There's some really good projects on here which was not something I expected to find on these forums!

Yep, I bought it for £250 last May, and since then I've done:

Both driveshafts (common thing on 205's)
Brakes all round
Rear Beam
New Seats
Changed starter motor and alternator

plus loads of other stuff too :p

I looks pre loved! I do love these cars but I don't personally like the wheels on yours and the colour of the body is not my favourite. Still great cars tho. Don't change it for a souless saxo vts.

1.9 alloys>1.6 alloys

Doesn't really matter how tall the car is, the weight is well distributed and not much of it..

One of the best handling FWD cars ever made...

Are you leaving the trim off deliberately? or is it going back on at some stage?

Is that a joke dude?, I recon it's a tall mother.
No, the ride height is spot on. It looks a little bit higher than it actually is because the arches are missing.

Its going back on soon, I've refurbed it all in black, but I'm having trouble finding the studs for the arches. Peugeot want £22 for each corner

Thats standard ride height :)

Don't forget this is the car that pretty much defined the term "hot hatch".

I did account for the arch trim, I just think it looks a little high up (aesthetically). I've driven a standard 1.6 and 1.9 and thought they were great, and a -35mm 1.9 which was a bit harsh but still excellent. I just prefer the look of one that's been lowered :).

Nice motor though :).
