The PS3 system software version 2.00 update features

Ratchet and Clank are the poster child for Sony. They really are hyping Ratchet up, and so they should too, ratchet is greeeeeeeeeeat.

the PS3 also has FFXIII (Don't bet on the 360 getting any FXIII Love, would have been announced over the weekend) and SOCOM is waiting to be announced too. Kingdom Hearts 3 will be announced at TGS so no news at gamers Day.

I think we will see a lot of Ratchet, that is their big game for the winter. Probably see some more MGS4, as that has went dark since TGS and maybe a bit of GT5 lovin if we are lucky.

And Home and LBP are getting huge Kudos from most people. I haven't seen one article saying it is a bad idea etc, and that is even with the pro 360 slant most of the gaming press seems to have at the moment.

Yes it is good that Sony is forging with new IPs, but if the best they have is Home and LBP, and some hyping on Killzone 2, then God help them.

OK some straight of me head, Kratos, Jakk and dexter , Ratchet and Clank, Cloud, I would say these are current Icons for Sony.

Not surprised tbh. As much as i hate delays and i really want to get my hands on it, i want it to be up to MGS standard rather than being half baked and shoved out the door.

It's possible to have a negative opinion on something you own, especially if it formed after purchase. :rolleyes:

If you aren't ticked off about the lack of games on the system, the lack of attention Europe gets, the poor XMB integration (which is now being fixed but far too late for some), lack of information on big releases, big Sony hype going on things that aren't even games etc etc, then good for you. I bought an expensive console, and it's anything but so far.

The instant Sony starts giving Europe *some* attention (like oh I don't know, maybe PSN releases like what practically the rest of the planet has instead of crappy trailers) I'll shut up. For now, they can eat my socks. :p

Also isn't FFVII like 3 disks? the games ou just now are quite small, but a game at 3 discs or so is going to be what 2 Gig almost? it is quite a lot to D/L and store.

I think they will do it, but it wont be for a while , i am hoping they release MGS on it :)

As far as the emulation side of things I don't think there would be any problem. I'm running FFVII off the discs, so it's being emulated and it's really smooth. There are, however, one or two very minor graphical glitches!

Yep because the 2.00 patch without US and Jap content is good news.
 
o [PS / PS2 Settings] has been added as an option.

I wonder what this is exactly, please please be anti-aliasing, I have just picked up FF8 + FF9 (PS1) and the jaggies are insane, its not so bad on FF10 (PS2) but it would still be welcome.

Whats the betting the options being something worthless like not having to press the ps button twice or allowing more than 5 memory cards on the HDD at once. :p

surely you knew thered be no games for a while, everyone else seems to .

did you get a 360 at launch and did you moan about the lack of games worth buying then ? do you moan about the lack of wii games too ?


funny that mostly everyone else seems to be pretty happy about this update.
