Well as I said above, unless I am incorrect with the information from the PSP website, Internet via Ad-Hoc on the PSP is not possible.

Yep, I am. I assumed that the PSP would be able to use an ad-hoc connection like any other device. I'd not actually looked at the ad-hoc options on my PSP until after posting.

Shame anyway, full ad-hoc would be a nice feature

Depends on what it is. Is it publicly available? Like in Maccy Ds or Starbucks? If its just an unsecured network the answer is no
