The Red Arrows

They were in Brighton this last Friday so they have been busy!

Well at least 4 of them (maybe 5 - was at work so didn't get a good view)

if there is one thing that I always remembered about the red arrows, was always being told that basically, the reason they were at scampton for so long, was that nobody else would take them..

Semi OT:

Was driving back from work the other day and the sensation of a low flying jet overhead is quite odd considering you hear it before you see it and your mind rushes to think what the hell that huge sound is coming towards you.

But this wasnt any ordinary jet, it was a Harrier and flew straight across infront of me. It was amazing, so low and made the cars it flew over react with the brakes.

I wished I'd had the windows wound down. And then.. pow.. right over me.. another *******.. I did my reaction swearing and watched them for as long as I could as they moved low over the hill. Awesome machines! They made my day.

In 2005 I was in San Francisco and on Alcatraz island and it happened to be the Red Bull air race.

Also on display were the US Navy display team and against the backdrop of San Francisco it was something I woun't forget in a hurry.
