I have been found out.
When the 300 series is available they will go straight in but until then the 290Xs can live there.

Not seen any GPUs or even a motherboard yet but I can tell from the rad and amount of fans that it's gonna be a MONSTER!!

LD cases are quite basic but very solid, all aluminium and will last forever. They also have a nice finish that does not attract dust which is just as well as they have no filters or grommets at all.
The Black/Red case looks a lot better in real life than it does in the pics too.

Some bits of the case Kaap remind me of early Lian Li's, particularly the 5.25 bay mounting points. LL have recently gone clip and catch in that area. Im on a basic black enthoo primo, but lately seen the new red/black model. Yes, i want it with a passion. But a cheaper alternative might be some spray cans and lots of tape, or vinyl wrap. But working with a primo for modding can be sore on my poor back, case is that bloody heavy.

Unfortunately when you put 4 GPUs, 3 Rads and all the other stuff in they weight a ton.
Good luck mate, i weighed my primo the other day. 25kg and thats just an air cooled rig, i was gonna put it on my desk. But thought id better not. Would end up on the floor much faster with a very loud thump. I had a Lian Li A70F Kaap, lovely light well made case. Would have been a nice case for a modding project/log. But it was taking up room so i gave it away.
LD cases are a bit different, the back/top/front is one piece of aluminium but very solid, they get their strength from the design where all the panels and structures contribute to the strength.
They do lack things like dust filters but all cases get dusty even if they have them.
The great thing about a LDV8 is once you are used to it, it is very easy to work in and has all the room you could need for future upgrades and will last for years as there is no plastic at all.
Thats what i liked about LL, no plastic, (well except the wires and some clip parts). All precision crafted aluminium. The primo is a nice cheap watercooling ready case, but the mix of steel, aluminium and plastic leads to a lot of cracking noises after a few hours use. Im a big fan of simple box style cases that dont look too garish externally, and the LDV8 does that very well. Simple, understated. Look forward to the rest of the build mate, subbed.
