And stick any unallocated res into your main fleet and send it off somewhere so that your res is safe too. :)

He has a moon with a Sensor Phalanx.

He noticed that all of his farms were dry...
Scanned planets with fleet activity... (using Phalanx)
Found me with 8 fleets active, all going to the people's planet's he'd made go inactive. (By fleetcrashing them and draining their res)

He probed me 3 times over the course of 4 hours.
During this time, my res went from
Metal: 250 -> 600
Crystal: 200 ->500
Deut: 100 -> 200

That's when he msg'd me! :p

Yay, now i'm being attacked as well, 4 people, all in the alliance 'S.W.A.T' i believe, coords:

It's actually only two people, first fleet from one bloke, 4 fleets from the other bloke, got a message from the first bloke after he sent his probes 'IDIOT' then messaged backing saying my resources would be gone by the time he gets here, they'll be safely on my ships, he messaged back saying 'YOUR PLANET WILL BE OURS TO DESTROY.'

Don't think i attacked any of their members, ah well they won't more than 1 or 2 resources, i may lose most of my defence but ah well, worst part is that i won't get to complete the attacks i'd just launched :( :p

That sounds like a raiding colony. He sets a planet up in an area (doesnt matter how big it ends up being), builds a little in the way of mines (usually deuterium only), and then puts his fleet there.

He attacks everything he can find. Usually lots of deuterium can be found there to power his gargantuan fleet to attack everything. With that kind of deuterium, I strongly doubt he only has 350 battleships. Hell I had 800 at one point and 100k was enough for each attack, and that is at range and high speed :)

Just fleetsave. He'll get annoyed :p
 
KillerKebab, while you are online, got a question for you:

You've found a nice target, got 230k metal, 120k deut, protected by 20 light fighters, 20 heavy fighters, 4 cruisers, 70 missile launchers, 25 small lasers, 1 heavy laser and 1 small shield dome

Question is, you send 60 ships, small cargo's, large cargo's, light fighters, heavy fighters and cruisers, what would your ideal composition of those types of ships, totalling 60, be?

Just curious as to whether or not to leave my fleet at home and see if i win (some of my fleet was out when he probed me ;))
