The Return of DFI?

SpudMaster what cooling you gonna use with your board? I'm also looking to buy some myself, but not sure which

the watercooling bits im waiting on is just an ek block i got from ebay for my 3870x2 and some tubing so nothing relating to the board. Im gonna try the stock cooler first to see how that works n if things run hot i'll probably put a swiftech mcw30 or similar on the NB.

Reason im waiting is cos my water block should arrive soon n will be easier to install new board with all my water cooling out of the way :)

just got my DFI LP DK P35-T2RS yesterday, love it. took me 4 times to get a good one,
when i opened the box in the shop the chipset heatsinks were snapped off.
got a good one eventualy, time to play.....

I have to say despite the florecent colours i'm impressed by DFI's layout and cooling.

No half kilo of heatpipes that do sod all but get in the way and sensibly located ports/slots (although the top 16x slot looks a little close to the RAM clips). Looks to be one of cheaper X48's too!

What's the difference between the UT and LT X48 T2R? If you guys are getting these from where i think you are getting them then that is a really, really good price for a "enthusiast" X48 board.

I think the only difference is the UT comes with the fancy transpiper heatpipe cooling for the nb & sb.

From my understanding, the UT has the expantion slots in a more CF-X friendly order and the thermalright heatpipe thing with the lower profile and heatpipes sticking out the back. Have not heard anything else though.

Also from what i've seen the TRUE will fit the LT when set horizontaly. Makes for good airflow through the NB cooler too.
