The Rig (on Prime)

Bored out of my skull in eps3.

Characters are good but Iain Glen’s character is next to useless and reminds me of a character from Dr Who/The Impossible Planet episode.

It’s just plodding along slowly and I was hoping to have a deep sea reveal or something by now.

Ep 3 was a bit slow to begin with and I did nod off part way through but I'm hoping the rest gets better. I've seen a lot of comments online saying it is really good at the end.

Just a reminder to the writers.... If you are writing a story, always make sure you have a good ending worked out first and then work out how you're going to get there.

If you haven't already watched this, don't bother, just watch John Carpenters The Thing and James Camerons The Abyss instead.

And Sharknado for the Vfx.

Way too long and often felt like a radio play.

This is basically 75% of movies/TV series these days - an interesting premise but they have no idea where to go with it or how to end it.

Finished it last night. Felt it was overlong. Could’ve cut a couple of episodes off it. There was also something about the way it was filmed that reminded me of a soap opera - maybe the camera angles? That bugged me.

Having said all that, it was a reasonable romp left wide open for a sequel
