season 2, bad, really bad. Even though I pushed through, it was REALLY BAD

and they say there is more to tell for another season!

I enjoyed watching series 1 enough to make me want to watch series 2 although I take on board that it was padded out and had a pretty disappointing ending.
 
I like it still, it's like a cross of Sphere and Event Horizon.

Some of you must have really short attention spans :D

I'd have said janky rather than junk, I quite enjoyed the first 2-3 episodes until they really got into the explanation which I had no interest in and the CGI at times was rather poor. I think having a few interesting actors saved it though otherwise it would have really fallen flat - though even then they obviously wanted other actors for some parts and settled for a less known actor with a passing resemblance.

I think I'll pass. I endured the first season, which was mostly forgetful but what I can remember seems to be an obvious eco-venture of dormant intelligent life getting the hump with human misadventure causing the destruction of the planet blah blah blah.
 
I remember season 1 starting off well but then it quickly descended into a load of rubbish. Based on the comments in here, it sounds like season 2 is even worse......think I'll pass!
 
Watched one episode of season 2, not sure I'll be going back, definitely low down in priority on my list of things to watch anyhow.

I've finished the second series and didn't enjoy it as much as the first. This is mainly because it took so long for the supernatural element to return to the story following the change of location.

Who are you referring to regarding the actor's resemblance? I can't say I saw anyone who said, "They couldn't afford X and got a low-budget X instead."
 
I tried watching the first season, but it didn't do it for me.
I might give it another chance later on, but I think this is a no-go for me.
 
I didn't find this as bad as others have said, I quite like the premise of the organism, and despite someone above claiming it was eco-venture thing, (organism gets the huff with humans destroying the world) that is not what the organism turns out to be.. (is that a twist?!?) ;)

Yes the acting/actors could have been better, but overally.. i'd say overall it was slightly above average for me.. I'd probably watch a season 3 if there is one..

I wouldn't normally say this but good choice don't waste your time. This show must have one of the worst pacing ever. I actually feel asleep because it was so boring.
