What happens when a nutter who has grown attached to his mouse emails logitech customer support? Lets find out shall we....

Dear Logitech,

I have several of your products all of which I can only describe as awesome and long lasting, however I have recently been having some problems with my M310 Logitech mouse (who goes by the name of Berty!) :(

It appears that when right clicking Berty sometimes works and other times clearly doesn't, either way, you know that clicking noise a mouse makes when you click (hence the name click), well for poor Berty that noise is a thing of the past. I have no idea why this might be happening but Berty's illness seems to be developing over time.

Please could you assure me that this illness is not terminal and won't effect my other mice. I suspect for Berty that his time plugged in may be coming to a premature end, if this is the case would you kindly direct me to where I can find another M310 mouse, perhaps I won't give this one the name Berty.

Please see attached a picture of sick Berty (FCC ID : JNZMR0014, IC 4418A-MR0014).

Kind Regards,
Vince

And now we wait :D

Logitech seem like nice guys, you're in for a shiny new mouse I predict!

Reminds me of an epic blag that some guy did on Facebook trying to get a free Samsung Galaxy S3.

Logitech offer great support. My harmony one which was at least 2 years old battery started to swell and eventually stopped working. I emailed just to enquire and they sent out a new retail packaged one.

i had this on my mx rev, it's only the micro switch getting worn, you can open it up rebend the piece of copper and put it back (bit fiddly mind) takes less than a few minutes and mines been running fine for an extra 12 months + now.

guide i used.

Hmmm I have had mine apart and this plastic white and green switch appeared to be the problem. Ill take a look though.

edit: On second thoughts those black things do look the same only my mouse is set in rubber and access is not good and I run a high probability of destroying the thing.

If that is the one where he drew a picture of a Dinosaur with the words Rawrr or similar, it actually worked out well for him. They created a one off skinned phone with wallpaper and artwork for him as a result of the publicity!

I'm sure that'll put a smile on anyone's face in the office when they see it :D

Surely it has to be funny to do that?

No offence, but if that drivel arrived on my desk, it would be in the bin before you could say "Bertie"

It's hardly in the 7 legged spider league.

Perhaps I don't have a sense of humour any more.

Logitech customer services are so good he really didn't need to do that. A simple 'my mouse is broken' email would have produced the goods.

Yea this is probably true

maybe the guy was bored and wanted some fun, or he is actually serious

Not the case! :( They wanted me to send my G15 in for repair (at a cost).. it's now sat in the corner all poorly! :(

can't fault logitech customer service. the backlight on my z5500 speakers stopped working. i emailed them and they said they would send out a replacement. The next day a whole new set of speakers turns up!!!
