Right gonna keep it dead simple ...

I don't wanna buy something that won't really be used (power wise).

I need a new PSU to run:

AMD Phenom II X4 965
DDR2 4096 MBytes
Radeon HD 6850 1GB
500GB H/D

Apparently my old iCute 500W PSU was holding my 6850 back .... and the current PSU in my computer doesn't have any PCI cables & it's NOT branded. I currently have a 512mb 4850 in my computer - and I'm getting better performance than my 6850 (because my PSU was holding the card back. My last thread about it was here)

When it comes to money, I don't really want to spend over £50 (excluding delivery) unless necessary.

Thanks in advance!

I'm guessing it's better to have quality than quantity when buying PSU's? ... for the same money (near enough) I could get a OcUK Crusade 750W: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-032-OP&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=1709

I'm clueless when it comes to PSU's so would it be best to buy the OCZ PSU rather than the OcUK one?

Please don't buy the 750W crusade - it may have a big number but it isn't a quality unit.

The OCZ linked to above is a solid unit and a good price. Personally I would go with this one for £51 since it's more efficient and comes with a 5 year warranty- here is a review.

Would that be enough to power my 6850? (I really am clueless with PSU's)

It says "- Supports multiple high-end graphic adapters (NVIDIA SLI & ATI CrossFire Ready)" - I'm guessing it does come with PCI cable(s) for my 6850?

Thanks for the quick replies btw.

Yes, the OCZ, XFX and BeQuiet PSUs mentioned in this thread are each more than powerful enough to run your system and a HD 6850.

The XFX comes with one 6 pin and one 6+2 pin PCIE power cable - so plenty for your card. The others also have more than enough.
