I absolutely LOVE this series. I have watched it over and over again ever since I was young. Very funny
One of the Xmas ones popped up on Netflix the other day which is what made me wanna watch em all again

This series really is *excellent* but some of the newer Christmas specials really are pretty conservative compared to the early stuff. None the less, quality stuff! 
Half the characters are missing from the newer ones aswell

I liked the Royle Family but much preferred Early Doors. That show was just genius and massively underrated.
I've never heard of that one. I'll look it up

Fun fact. We had the same sofa they had in series 1. We got rid of it then they had a warehouse fire and lost theirs!
They were great, especially the specials. They illustrate a Britain I know and love more than anything has to me.

If you love the Royle Family, you will love this. I highly recommend the purchase. In some ways it is a shame that they never did a third series, but in other ways, I am glad that they didn't, it keeps it special.

I'm still watching it now working my way through the special's
working my way through the special'sMe and the Mrs have just recently finished watching this again, we have watched it a good few times now.
It is a masterpiece of TV and I think will only get better with age, especially for the late 20's and older generation. It is a superb snapshot of life just before digital tv, internet and mobile phones (although Dave does get one for Denise at the end of season 2).

Oh and whenever I am going to strip wallpaper in the future I will be blasting out Mambo No5!

Got Early Doors
Watched the first 3 or 4 eps last night, quite enjoyed it. Nowhere near as funny as the Royle Family though. Some absolutely cracking quotes from the show!

I've managed to get my hands on season 1 of Early Doors so once I've watched it I'll come back and let you guys know my thoughts
