*** The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Thread ***

I'm glad I went with the blue gold combo in the end, at first I thought I'd made a mistake but it's really grown on me and looks fantastic with the Note 7's design.
 
I've just had my return call from Samsung and I'm one of the lucky ones who will get a replacement on Monday! There is a small batch waiting for the lucky few. My one will be exchanged by the courier for a new one. :D

Just the phone and it's accessories to be returned in their small box. The next batch is due for the 19th.

The Galaxy Note7 exchange programmeYou recently purchased a Galaxy Note7 and have probably heard about the reported battery cell issue. We have since stopped sales and shipments of affected devices. But don't worry, your provider or operator will be in touch soon to exchange your device. In the meantime, you don't need to do anything. If you have any questions, please go online for more information, or contact the Samsung customer service team on 0330 7261000.

Have you called them on Saturday to let them know your wish about the replacement or just the email through their website?

I called them last Saturday, they had my details, gave them the IMEI/serial number and asked for a replacement. They told be to wait for a call in the next seven days. That was it. I did buy directly from them.

I bought it directly from them as well but by the time I called them they were suggesting to use the Email Support via their website to provide the details. We'll wait and see.

Nonetheless, that's great news.

On another topic, has anyone seen Apple's event with their new groundbreaking design and best LCD HD display? :)

Yes they just reinvented the wheel and sliced bread going by the cheers after every announcement :rolleyes:
 
Has there been any mention of compensation for those who purchased direct from Samsung if other providers are offering something?

They mentioned that thanks to your kind words, one of their brilliant cases is not enough, therefore they will include yet another one as a sign of gratitude.

That would save me from using a second little black bag... :-)

I had to go and buy a case :-( so I was leaning more towards another wireless charger... :-)
