I think I'm going down a similar road.
Called into a branch today to get it underway and the best swap they could give me was a galaxy fame and expect new phone around next Wednesday. Frig that.
Cut battery life, told I can't use it on flights, constant notifications about how dangerous it is, no gear vr after being promised and a crap swap out system. Really enjoying this 700 quid experience.

Yea, throw in the free month rental from Vodafone and accidently wiping off last months international calls from my bill, I've done ok out of this.

I think you just need to speek to the right person. As far as I know they have stock of both colours in their warehouse for replacements. I went in yesterday to finally resolve mine and the handset arrived first thing this morning.

Also, aren't they offering S6's or S6 edges as loan phones? That's what I was offered anyway but in the end they let me hang on to my 7 as it was only a day.

Are you with THREE as they are offering s6 edges as loan phones but I refused delivery of one as Im wanting to do any swaps/exchanges in store

Yea the guy said they were using s6 and edges but had none left, they also loan the phones with no covers or protectors and warned that customers phones would be withheld should the loaners need repairing/paid for. They are making this awkward. The retailers who sold online know where their customers live generally so could facilitate a local branch pre-emptive replacement project but prefer to waste money on loaners that they'll lose money on. Seems ott and daft to me.

Originally bought online from carphone, and went into my local store and the girl seamed switched on and ordered me one in for next day! I went in today expecting it to not be there as im a judgmental nob, and low and behold it was there!

Were you able to keep the "granny killer" until the new one arrived or did you leave it with them and take a loan?

Kept it as they had proof on their system I had one of the dodgy ones. Went quite smooth for a cpw mini store that's based inside a currys pc world out of town centre. Nice free parking and only 2 minutes down the road from me.

Maybe thats where I went wrong, i have 2 locally, the bigger store and a currys cpw. Ill try the currys tomorrow. Cheers.

Upping the 60% limit:

If you have a charging limited phone go into advanced battery settings* and turn off the 60% limit. It will only give you 80% but better than nothing.

(*Device maintenance / battery / three dot menu / advanced settings)

Same here I've done my part with calls and emails there problem they can contact me(doubtful)

I've opened old box and I'm now using the accessories :)
