The Samsung OmniaHD i8910 ... this NEEDS it's own thread.

still no news on the 16Gb version yet tho :(

I see that on the mobiles.co.uk site that the O2 prices havent been released yet - I really don't fancy Orange and would love O2 with unlimited internet mmmmmmmmm :)

It has a memory card slot which i imagine can support a good few gigs so why would you need a 16gb version?

i8910 + O2 + unlimited internet bolt on = best phone combo release this year! :D

Before i place an order on this, based on the deals at mobiles.co.uk - none except the £40p/m come with a data package? Are there no bolt ons? Seems a tad stupid :/

afaik you can add the 500mb data package for a fiver more per month altho there is a £40 monthly line rental with £10 discount (making it £30 per month) including 1200 mins, unlimited texts and 500Mb data which is almost tempting. I'm still waiting to see what the deals will be for O2 when they get it.

Spoke to o2 at lunch time and they told me they wouldnt be stocking it as it didnt pass their software checks or something along those lines? Perhaps that doesnt include online purchases? I'd rather not go with Orange, and T-Mobile which i'm on at the moment dont seem to have any of the latest and greatest phones. Quite irritating.

Didn't pass their software checks?!?

What is that meant to mean. They would be silly not to stock it.

Just repeating what i was told, with regards to the internet connectivity and so on they said on about 7 different points it failed, so they wouldnt be stocking it.

Then i went to orange and they said "Unlike other providers we do software checks before releasing phones" (lol) and they expect it to be released in store on the 25th of May.

It's funny how the Nokia 5800 tube passed despite being based on identical software, isn't it? :)

As far as I know, it was never slated for release on O2. It sounds like O2 are trying to spread FUD because they don't want people to jump ship.

Ok..I wonder though if 'online or over phone' it's available on 15th as have read that. I'll have to ring them up. I have had my iPhone about a year now and use it all the time but fancy a change.

I read that O2 were going to have it..but of course 'wrong info'.

It's probably as they don't want an iphone competitor as a previous poster stated.

Must. Resist.

I was looking at the N97 also, but this looks a lot better in almost every way, except for the lack of a hard keyboard that is. The only thing that would be better than this for me would be the forthcoming iphone. What website is that offer from?
