Saw the extended trailer the other night on TV and actually made me stop what I was doing.

Has potential in an odd "Forest Gump" kinda way.. might actually take a trip to the cinema, and I'm normally the last person to like ANYTHING that Ben Stiler has done...

i saw the trailer at the cinema and it had the opposite affect on me. i almost fell into a coma and nearly missed the film i went to see. :p

Saw the trailer in the cinema recently. It has potential, but I'll wait for the reviews I think, its quite ambitious and could end up being terrible.

Having an Unlimted card I'll pretty much go and see anything, and I will probably see it, however I can't believe how much advertising, advanced screenings, Ben Stiller interviews before other films etc they're doing for what looks like a "normal" film. It does look worth a watch but again I'm concerned most of the story has been told in the adverts.

OK, I saw this just over a week ago (secret screening at Cineworld). I had seen the short and then the extended trailer before seeing this.
I'll be honest - neither trailer had me desperate to see it.

However I actually found the film really good. It's funny without being a comedy. It's moving without being soppy. It's exciting without being an action film.
Main characters are good and well played. I thought Stiller was excellent and when you consider that the likes of Jim Carey & Mike Myers were lined up for the role many moons ago it could have taken a very "comic direction".

The end was "OK" in that from early on I had an idea what was going to happen and then I was just waiting for it to surprise me and take a different route, which it didn't.

The "zoning out" and "daydream" sequences are well done. I don't think I spoil anything by saying there is a cool Benjamin Button one which was rather funny.

I'm trying to think who should see it. It's difficult as the film fails to sit in any particular genre. Eternal Sunshine..... is possibly another film that doesn't quite sit anywhere and maybe this one can join it.

It is however well worth a watch.

*Edit*
The adverts and trailers have not given much of the story away at all - worry not.

I saw the extended trailer a while back with Ben Stiller doing the introduction. At first I found it cringeworthy, but once the actual trailer started it looked fantastic.

Like the look of this, and the soundtrack sounds like its going to be good.
It will be interesting to see how ben stiller does in this sort of role.

They can and they did.
This really cannot be considered a remake of the 1947 film.
The title is the same, maybe some of the premise is the same, but the layout, characters and they way they act is very different.

I saw this on the Cineworld Secret Screening. (prob would not have seen this if I did not have the cineworld card)

It is worth watching and glad I did some people walked out after 2mins (idiots), some breath taking captures.

Saw the first half hour of this at an advanced screening. We left because there were projector problems but to be honest it didn't feel like I was missing anything special.

Just got back from seeing this. Loved it.

Its just done really really well, I was drew in more and more by the story as the film progressed, the music is top notch, and the landscapes are stunning.

The GF fell asleep though , though to be fair to the film, she falls asleep at everything in the cinema that isn't scary/has lots of action and death.

I absolutely loved this film. I found it very inspiring. The scenery was amazing as well.

I'm normally not a fan of Ben Stiller either so was very surprised to enjoy it as much as I did.
