I like them, quite subtle but good. He claims they were originally from a V Spec Eunos.

Owning an MX5 is one thing that I love, but being able to buy all the nice bits and pieces I drool at everyday is something I can only dream of for the time being!!

Make sure you post a picture of how it looks once the exhaust is on, or even a sound/video clip :)

Lol, will do, its worth the wait you will have a fantastic time, was out till after dark tonight on my fav private road showing my friend the finer points of going sideways from a standing start, gotta love the wet weather.

I need to photograph everything, i've done loads to the car, one of my fav things is the audio install, Pioneer Avic X1R, Ipod interface, Vibe Black Box 1 Amp, 17Cm Infinity 6510CS speakers, thats about £1200 on audio alone!

The reflectors wired as indicators sounds interesting, although the stock one's are damn bright with the top down at night.

To the mk2 owners how do you find the stock headlights? I find full beam ok, but dipped is pretty poor.

I'll have to invest in some new bulbs.
 
Not for much longer, the MX is sucking it alllll up!

My side reflectors are wired in when i put the sidelights or higher on they come on as well, makes sooooo many more people turn and look.

My Stock lights are pants, i'm going to replace the dipped and main beam with some Halfords all weather units (Ones in the Gold Pack) got them fitted to the clio and on full beam at night they are crazy bright :)
 
Guys your cars are lovely and i am a big fan of MX5's but for the love of god get rid of your Number plates from these pics before they are twinned.

Twinned = Using your plate on a stolen MX5 to enable usage.

DO IT NOW. ;)
 
Love the photos, though it was amusing to see Mattpc's "friend" looking rather cold.

Great to see a mk3 on here. I did try one a couple of months back and really rated the interior improvements, nice one.

Fire, will you be at the RR day? Freefaller is taking his tubby MX5 to the day. I'd be very interested in hearing how loud your twin exhaust is.

Ref the bulbs, I bought some uprated units from MX5parts for about £5. They are still not amazing, but are better than the std mk2 units.

She looks completely frozen, no wonder she stayed in the car. Still, did that to my mum in the Lakes back in March, so I can't really complain.

The good news is that it's already getting to the point of being able to wear short sleeved shirts with both the windows and roof down at 70mph.
Roll on the warm weather...

Hope there will be a good showing of MX5s at the RR day on the 1st July, be great to see you chaps there.
 
I think we actually did another 2 laps of the Manchester Meet circuit after that photo was taken! :D She was very good and didn't complain. Even wanted to do another lap when I suggested it might be time to head home. Only trouble is now she's desperate to get insured on the car... :eek:

Can't wait to get the top down when its actually warm. I haven't had chance to use the car for almost a month now... :( It needs a new brake hose fitting as one of them has gone dodgy but lack of time and decent weather is putting a damper on things at the moment.

in process of fitting bilstein sports suspension, i bought the wrong springs though (anyone want some mk2 lowering springs?)

2000 1.8is Jasper Conran Platnum (#22/100 :))

not really modded, just got clear side repeaters, new wheels - Rota Subzeros, Alpine head Unit (+ipod dock) and new chavy gear nob - saving me cash for a big block of FIing metal under the hood, and maybe duel exit zorst....

also need to get me some one way drainage hole valves as after i've unblocked it the road noise has gone up loads

Should be matey, i'm down in the thread as turning up, only problems is my parents are in the south of france that month and its my dad's 50th while they are away, i might be driving down to supprise him on his birthday so its all dependant on that i suppose :)
 
Here's a question for you chaps.
I've just bought a set of white dials from mine from MX5parts.
Before I fit them, I'm wondering about changing the back lighting. I understand that the bulbs come as standard with "green condoms", which can be changed. I understand that new condoms cost around a fiver.
So my questions are:
- For any of you with white dials as standard, what is the normal backlighting colour?
- Do you have any thoughts on a suggested colour? I did think about blue, as per how VW do some of their dashboards.

Thoughts?
 
Ahh damn it, I've been putting off looking at cars for a while now but this is making me want an mx5 :( . Is there a certain model I should be looking for?
