The Silent Hill: Townfall thread

Looks great, love the art design and overall look too, you can really tell the devs are based in the UK (Glasgow, in fact) given all the little details they got right.

£33 for a key on GMG too, seems like a bargain to me even if it ends up being a shorter experience than SH2 etc.

Different locale and character, same style of storytelling with new assets - All seems great to me, Silent Hill has always been this way. SH1 was not like the others for example.
 
I am really happy that they have gotten Terry O'Quinn. I really wish they would do this more. I do understand that there will be higher costs involved with getting these actors to do it but for me a recognisable face in a game is a bonus for me.

In Until Dawn it was Rami Malik and Hayden Panettiere, In The Quarry it was Halson Sage, David Arquette, Lance Henriksen and Ethan Suplee (Didnt know this one till recently), Horizon Zero Dawn was Lance Reddik and obviously Death Stranding games had a plethora of actors.

You should be safe, Silent Hill F was £55, Silent Hill 2 was £59. £33 for Silent Hill Townfall should be a decent saving :) (£28 if you go for the non deluxe version)

I cant afford to wait for things, I could die in a car crash in 2 weeks time and then I will have missed out on things because I put them off. As my gran used to say, why put off til tomorrow what you can do today, never wait til tomorrow what if tomorrow never comes etc....she was a talkative old mare :)

I personally don’t put a computer game down or something I’d come back as a ghost for ‘unfinished business’ lol. Unless it happened before I finished a last boss on something, that would be annoying.

I couldnt come back as a ghost, dont believe in them. You live, you die, you rot in the ground (or more commonly these days get burned), theres nothing after that. So got to play the games I want to play before a) arthritis ruins my hands making me unable to game, b) my eyesight fails to the degree that I cant see whats happening on the screen or c) I die/get killed :D

Review embargo lifts today. Curious about this game and it is also kind of cheap. Looks way more interesting to me than SH f which I have not played yet by the way. Hopefully there is not too much forced sneaking.

I liked f to a point but then it got tedious after the 2nd half and some of the combat felt like it was on its way to being Wukong lol.

This feels more like a return to SH2 in a different setting.

It launches for early access for those who pre ordered tomorrow btw, can't wait to get my path tracing shoes on.

Just so happens ok working from home as well :D
