The Silent Sea - Netflix - 24/12

watched this recently and have s few issues with it aswell. It's not really intelligent sci-fi. When you stop and give any serious thought into events etc it really doesn't make any sense.

a lot more questions than answers as you cant really assume anything logically. There's mystery elements to the show but far to many wholes. The basic mystery is basically solved 1-2 episodes in and is pretty predictable but not really properly explained.

What happened 5 years ago exactly? Yeah something went wrong and it wasn't nuclear in nature. Why did they leave it 5 years to try and get the samples? why bring them to earth? why not use the station again? Why the coverup about using clones for experiments? Like that made everyone expendable? You've got the discovery of a century that could save the planet but you'll let some BS about your illegal experiments leaking stop your progress?

Maybe I missed a few lines of dialogue when looking after the baby (easily done with subtitles) but some things I cant get my head around.
 
Plug didn't really make much sense (the spoilers above are on point), the lead lady just seemed to stare at things all the time and I found that rather annoying for some reason, the majority of the cast was really forgettable/interchangable (by which I mean they didn't really seem to have characters of their own) and it generally just didn't really go anywhere. I'm happy to suspend disbelief at the central premise (as ludicrous as it is) but I expected a bit more in terms of plot along the way to carry this.
 
Have to sadly agree with majority of the comments, nice premise and backdrop just bad execution and acting really.

It was predictable from the moment someone puked up bath tubs of water really, that lead woman Dr soong staring was on space weed half the time.
There was 2-3 moments where they ruined the mystery with flash backs, flash backs can make and break shows really if not done well its better to avoid them imo, but they tried to enter a situation where no one had any idea yet no they were aware of everything. You can't just flick a confused face with I am an expert face within 1 minute it makes no sense.

It was a trip that started out well, got lost in the middle and ending with little thought, ill probably do the 2nd series if I am totally bored.
