The Sims 3 - Info

PCGames.de offers the debut of a clip showing off gameplay from The Sims 3. The clip highlights how much bigger your little people seem to be in the new version, and shows them off doing what you are doing now, looking at something on their computer screens (though it's doubtful that reading this is causing you the same spasms that viewing what seems to be a tennis court causes the Sims).

Is it a problem that it looks the same?

Visually there's no real reason to give the game an overhaul. It looks pretty solid, and keeping it this way will please the masses of people that play it as they wont have to fork out for a new PC to play it.

I think they'll probably tweak the engine slightly so that it allows more Sims on the screen without slow downs and probably just tweaks like that.

Some of the new features they're introducing sound quite good IMO... Complete customisation of Sims and homes (although by complete, I'm sure mean "five more options that you had before"). The seemless transitions to different areas of your neighbourhood sounds good too... no more loading screens.

so where are the new Sims 3 shots then??? Clearly the ones posted are just from another EA expansion pack because they look exactly the same as Sims 2 :rolleyes:

The worst thing is her laptop only just about copes with Sims2, so chances are it won't run Sims3, in which case she's already making overtures to install it onto my desktop
