Any of you guys had the snip? I want it done but as i imagine a lot of guys would feel, its a knife cutting my presious bits! And is giving me the ***** lol. Going for a hernia op and the snip at the same time! I guess what im looking for is someone here to say 'i've had it, its fine you'll be ok' And put my mind at ease a bit lol. Ugh not excited
 
Was painful and uncomfortable for me for a few days, that's all. Some people seem to get over it quicker than others. I had a light infection though so that probably didn't help my recovery.
 
I had the snip 4 years ago,had a bit of swelling and had a week off from work.

Have heard some people go back to work the next day but they must be gods.

Yes it does hurt a bit but I booked a week off just to be on the safe side and it was fine.

I was 41 when I had it done and went private,just take 2 pain killers before you go in and you will be fine.
 
I was considering it, so I could ejaculate inside all month round without having to worry about condoms.
Some research pointed towards some guys have chronic pain post-op similar to a good ball kicking, that's postponed my thoughts on the matter currently, and I will need to research it further.
 
my best mate had it done, myself and my wife opted for her to be sterilized during the caesarean section for the birth of my son.

2 main things I think you should note,

1) you cant have unprotected sex for at least 12 months after, as some sperm might still exist.
2) don't believe the 'in and out' in an afternoon, and back to work next day, my mate was off for a week, with reduced duty's for a week after that. He described the pain as a persistant kick in the tacticals.

Had the snip about 4 years or so ago. Only part that I didn't like was knowing what they were doing. No discomfort afterwards at all.
Can't believe all this week off work rubbish. Need to man up bunch of shirt lifters
 
Thanks for the fast responce guys i appritate it. I think it'd be better than having the mrs having to take pills all the time im nice like that lol :)

@Hikari i joyfully already suffer from chronic testicle pain so am aware of the risk of that getting a little worse, but its an on and off thing.

Cant wait to get it all out the way and be done with it, im 6ft tall 85kg 8% bodyfat covered in tattoos but im a right little girl!!
 
I could tell you a story about one that went wrong to my mate Dave, or Davina as he's known now.

Just get her to get an implant. My mrs only complains about arm ache for a day or two every two years, I'd rather have that than a scalpel to my special area. :)
 
had it done a few years back. Worst bit was when surgeon started cutting before the local had kicked in, that made my eyes water. Was off work for a few days & wearing tight underpants for a few weeks. One of the blokes on the ward had booked a motorbike test ride for the following day. We all laughed at him.
