The Social Gathering / Gaming Thread [A place to organize meet-ups]

You don't even have to buy separate copies. Game sharing works for it too.
Could you go in to some more detail on this? What is game sharing, and what games does it work for? I’ve spent a grand on headsets for me and the wife to play on, I can scarcely afford to buy two copies of every game ;)

You setup your account as the primary account on both accounts. You then add a secondary account to her account with her username. In that headset, activate App Sharing. Then most games can be played for free as 2 separate users. Some games also allow for multiplayer between app shared accounts.

So that sounds like if I believe this site:

That I could buy Onward/Cook Out/Demeo on my account and the wife would be able to download it and play with me online?

Demeo I can confirm you can definitely play with an app shared account. Same with Walkabout and Beat Saber. Beat Saber doesn't give access to any extra bought packs (and it doesn't unlock the ball hunt/club clues in walkabout, but that's not important). Dungeons of eternity works too.

You can only share with one other headset though. For example, I had to buy another copy of Walkabout Mini golf to play Quest 1, Quest 2 and Pro in the same house.

So let me get this straight. ATM we have two Q3s with our own accounts on.

I use her Q3 and log in to my account, set this to primary. I then set her account as secondary. I then log in to her secondary account, and can now access my games as well?

Yes, but not all games support App sharing. Enough do to make it worthwhile though.

Just a quick report on last nights Demeo game. Ravenger was on a mission. And I think that mission was to ruin the game!! First he messed up the save game so we had to start again, and then he kept opening chests and whatnot without asking anyone had they space for new cards. He apologised profusely each time, but used that same tone he uses when saying "unlucky" in Walkabout!! So, about halfway through the level, I killed him. I think maybe he was upset because We didn't let him play the Archer. :p :D

Actually team attacking seemed to be the order of the day!! Mr.Cookie was the mage for the first time and went mad with his new lighting powers. Poor Shi barely survived 2 attacks in row from that electric wielding maniac!! But he attacked us all. Looking back on it now, it was odd the way that he would only use his Overload attack when there was a team mate close by.

:p

If it wasn't for the team attacks we would have taken little or no damage at all. Did you guys find it very, very easy? We were killing things without much trouble. We really didn't run into any problems at all. We did two levels in a very short space of time. The coin tosses worked out pretty well for us, which helped kill 3 guys. Still think we would have killed those without much trouble anyway. Considering We had a bard, Mage, Warrior and Assassin and made loads of mistakes, we still killed off everything easy. What did you guys think?
I'm not saying I'm working for the enemy, but er I'm working for the enemy ;)

I think I saved the day more times than I ruined it in that game. Yeah you might have missed out on a potion or a card but I killed two of the biggest baddest enemies with a single card each, AND got all the gold. So there :p

I am not about to admit that you might have helped out a little, tiny, tiny bit. :p

Pretty much. You will need to go to the App Sharing option on her headset (where yours is now primary) and enable it. I think all newer games have it enabled, as it's a requirement.
