it can vary to be honest, depends on the number of people and course. but say 2hrs 30mins for 8 people.
the general rule of thumb is an extra 15mins per person joining the game.
normal adives is to have it plugged in or have a battery pack to enable lasting the whole play through.
but to be honest time flies and you dont realise how late it is sometimes.

and we started at 8:05ish once we got everyone togeahter decided on a course. i need to be up at 5am so much later than this starts to push it for me.

Thanks, at the moment about 2 hours will be my max, the room I'll be playing in I can't plug my Quest 3 in and I have no idea where my power bank is right now (I'll look for it again).
 
if it helps i have used a:

before with a quest 1, and it just means the headst does a slow discharge. and have it in a pocket either at back or front.
had the power bank for a good few years to so its probably degraded a little.

i'll try it later or tomorrow with a full charge see how it fairs but the actuall requirements seem pretty low.
i'm pretty sure a half decent power bank and decent cable will see you through. may get down to 40% quest battery at end of play

I should be there (for the 1st time!), I'll play most anything I have but going by what you guys seem to play multiplayer I only have the golf game. Still can't find my power bank so looks like i'm limited to however long my charge lasts which tbh for the 1st time joining in I don't mind.

My charging cable is nowhere near long enough, plus i don't want to use the Link cable i have as it's not right angled at the Quest 3 end meaning they'll be stress on the port when i move around. I have found my old power bank but iirc it's pretty poor. If i have to duck out earlier than when the games finished due to low charge i hope it won't screw the whole game up?

It won't screw the whole game. Walkabout is fairly motionless, so might be worth putting in a longer cable if you have one? But if you've found the powerbank, that'll probably be OK. Games are normally 2 hours or so if there's plenty of players. Maybe we'll do an easy course to try and speed it up?

Drop the brightness down, you can get away with quite a low setting. It'll last much longer :)

The powerbank i have right now is a £10 no name amazon one iirc it's pretty rubbish that's why i bought the £30 anker one the same as ShiWarrior has but will plug it in anyway it'll all help. Walkabout won't be motionless for me :D i already walked into the wall when i tried it the other day :D i move a fair bit in vr.

doesnt help me much apparantly...
worth also altering the power up from memory up to 60% if i remember the advise correctly.

i may pop in say hi, im a bit late home, but will leave to night so its a bit shorter for every one. better to have a good first night :)
i have a few other things to do as well. call step daughter ect
if people want to get on during the week thats cool to.
