The Social Gathering / Gaming Thread [A place to organize meet-ups]

will be a HOT one tonight

that's not the weather ! ;) :p :D

while i think of it (I may as well wright it here) for @Emo_hug

When your in the game, may i suggest you watch Raggs or Rigga (not me that's for sure) when they are doing their putting, because you want to "follow through" and (ill use Raggs as a prime example) he tests his shots slowly but smoothly, and then when he takes his shots, they are still smooth and follows through
Try it, with a bit of practice you will get better, but i did notice you go to hit the ball and then pull away quickly? by doing that your ball which will go off to one side
havent had a great deal of time to practice unfortuantly. was hoping to get a few games in yesterday but work happened.
i'm slowly learning though :)

getting them in toa good routine will vastly help your sanity its worth the time investment :)

we were having a good time, but the addition of another play put things back time wise, we were hoping to finish at 10 and i think it'll go to 10:30 few of them hadnt had dinner yet.
we were on hole 15 on SEAGULL STACKS Hard when battery gave up the ghost for me. only one game in, with lots of Science.

just had dinner now :/

i'll pratice some more and unlock more courses over the week as i can get the headset charged.

Thank you everyone fr a good game and better company :) .

it was good timing for me tbh i needed something to eat before i disappear to bed, which i'm about to do.
i've early starts, and was hoping to have been home today for 6:20 instead of 7:30

Thanks guys! As always good fun.

@Emo_hug most of us use a powerbank to help keep the headset charged up, since our games can often hit the 2+ hour mark (especially with quite a few players). Also, do you know if Among Us works on the Quest? If so, perhaps we can go to that. If I remember correctly some rec room works and some doesn't? Laser tag/paintball could be good with 4v4.

I play VR mostly in my attic which isn't pleasant in the summer, but the open faceplate helps on the Pro, much less sweaty. Also a large fan blowing towards me is essential.
I wanted to play late last night, but no way can I open the windows without becoming the beacon for every moz and moth going! Big fan sounds sensible though.

I have one of those large tower fans and I stick it on a computer chair and which raises it to body and head height. Makes a big difference. I still try to avoid playing VR if it's too hot though, unless it's one of our social games.

in yesterdays play someone mentioned something about my mic and i didnt quiet catch what was said, i think it was to quiet? appologies for not catching the name at the time, but it was the nice fella..
i had a wee look at my settings and the mic volum was set to 100%

yep i mention that earlier in the thread asking melmac.
but i was very naive, i though we'd get through a game in around 30-45mins not 2hr 30min... since the game friday we went through 3 games in around 1hr 40 ish.
i thought i'd get on have a round and then get some chow, how wrong i was :D

i'll experiement with a battery bank i have and see what i can get out of it, i have someother options i just need to prep for it.
i wont be able to go much past 10:30 though since im up just before dawn for work.

i looked at rec room after fridays game but have the horrible black flashing screen so i cant even login :/
