If we go to The Loft which is the only Indie/ alternative club in Maidstone than its jeans or combats and a T shirt, Vans/ Reef trainers and a smile. I'm usually the oldest person there but its really friendly.

Downstairs is heavy rock, metal and grunge, upstair is anything goes really, hip hop, funk, indie, chart, R&B.

Its a great place and everyone is easy going, those who usually wear a shirt, smart trousers and shiny shoes to go clubbing may be in for a shock :eek:

Any ideas on roughly how much money I'll need to bring? It'll be £5 for booze given my stamina, just need to know how much bowling and getting into the club'll cost.

Bowling is about £15, club will be a MAX of a fiver, food costs will vary depending on where we decide to go, if your coming to Hon's Palace on Saturday (if thats what we do decide) you'll be looking at £15-20 for a full 4/5 course Chinese banquet type experience I would have thought including a drink or two. Old Orleans or wherever else is selected probably still £15 for 2/3 courses. Food at The White Rabbit will be between £5 for bar menu stuff and £15 for a full meal inc afters.

Nandos is around £10 roughly all depends on what your order but the half chicken meal they do is £15 which has enough food for 2 to share..

Old Orleans a main meal will set you back £10 more or less and a main meal is enough the size of the portions they give you add a starter in and as MB says £15 for a 2 course meal. Similarly Frankie and Benny's is similar prices to Old Orleans

Other restaurants will bow to MB's knowledge for prices.

Saturday would be the best day for clubbing I think as that's the "main" day.
I prefer Indie/dance music but r'n'b/chart is ok when out. Can't stand too much cheese though, unless it's quality 80s cheese :) Put it this way, if The Macarena comes on I'll sit down and find someone to 'talk' to (talk meaning gobbing in someone's ear followed by "WHAT?" and then nodding my head as I pretend to understand a word they are saying).

Knowing me I'll still be able to spend £200... All the OcUK meets have cost me close to that much... maybe I buy too many people drinks?! :p
 
I know I'm gonna bring at least £200. I expect you ladies will have it cheaper though what with all us "gentlemen" buying you drinks.

Sorry Buddy, there really aren't any decent clubs in Maidstone on a Saturday, its definately all shirts and smart trousers and no trainers on a Saturday :(

If we're going to do it and not end up in Chav and Trendy Hell then its Friday or nowt, sorry.

Anyway it will be on Saturday, the Loft doesn't close till 4am Saturday morning :D

4am? This little tiggy will have to remember to drink lots of water through the night just incase we dont leave until really early saturday morning. Did I not tell you that my bedtime is 7pm?

Please people, look after the tiggy, she's out of practice when it comes to bowling, drinking and clubbing :(

Don't worry Piggy and H (da wife) will look after you and we'll all keep our eye on you in case you do something funny :D

We don't HAVE to stay till the club closes, tbh I can't usually last it out and if we stay up too late we'll be a mess when we have to be high spirited when all the others turn up on Saturday. I suggest a planned departure time of 2am so we can get enough sleep to be ready to start again in the morning :)
