The standards of Policing

Why are people so insecure these days about being filmed in public?

If you're in public then you've to expect less privacy than if you are in your home.

As for the police and that veteran guy. It is sinister that they are trying to control expression. The swastika isn't an illegal symbol in this country. So arresting that guy is like arresting someone for drawing an orange. The police should have told the person who called that its legal to post that image whether people like it or not.

If someone posted a picture of an orange, and someone complained to the police, then by this principle would the police would be arresting them for the same thing? Of course they wouldn't because its stupid. But the law is setup in principles, not emotional knee jerk reactions like they have done here.

It is also very selective policing. I would imagine someone will have complained about the rainbow flag. But I'm sure that complaint wasn't written down.

It reminds me years ago when the police (or council) tried to get someone to take down the English flag because someone had walked past his house, saw it, and become offended.
