About the Game
The Stanley Parable is a first person exploration game. You will play as Stanley, and you will not play as Stanley. You will follow a story, you will not follow a story. You will have a choice, you will have no choice. The game will end, the game will never end. Contradiction follows contradiction, the rules of how games should work are broken, then broken again. This world was not made for you to understand.

But as you explore, slowly, meaning begins to arise, the paradoxes might start to make sense, perhaps you are powerful after all. The game is not here to fight you; it is inviting you to dance.

Based on the award-winning 2011 Source mod of the same name, The Stanley Parable returns with new content, new ideas, a fresh coat of visual paint, and the stunning voicework of Kevan Brighting. For a more complete and in-depth understanding of what The Stanley Parable is, please try out the free demo.

Try the demo, its very well made. Wont say much but as far as any demo has been made this has been brilliant. :D

Gave this whirl yesterday at the recommendation of a friend, it is extremely well done! I really have no idea what to think about it, apart from after playing it i'm half tempted to buy it.

Worth checking the demo out anyway its only ~800mb.

Even if you dont want the game or like it, i encourage just to play till the end its not that long and hopefully ud like what it did for the demo.

Imo it felt like somit valve would do. A cross between half life and portal or somit i duno it just gave off that vibe to me. The environments especially.

Yeah I played through the demo last night, was pretty good. I'll probably get the full version.

I remember seeing Pewds play the source version, looked quite entertaining then, a full version can't really fail!

As marmite as it may be, that is a VERY good take on a demo.

The gaming world could do with more comedy :)

Much amusement on their youtube channel :D

It's out today (Thursday) but no options to pre-order!? Definitely going to pick this up.

Just played the demo and yes it was amusing but i dont think i could play this game for hours. Maybe the demo is enough for me.

Bought it today and tried for a couple of hours. Entertaining but I haven't explored all paths yet - in fact it seems like this has hundreds in comparison to the HL2 mod.

It's got some very amusing moments in it... I really don't want to spoil any of it though :)

The 'game' part of this (almost interactive movie) seems to be to find all the alternate paths. It is entertaining when
you think you've reached the end of a particular path and the game restarts, only to find the restart is different and effectively a continuation of your previous path

Found the demo funny, bought the game and played about an hour last night.

I'm enjoying it, and it's still funny for me, but it's difficult to tell whether the game has much longevity or not.

I got completed after my second path which took about 5 minutes, doesnt seem to be a whole lot of alternatives left after that but Ill keep looking.

The after death area is pretty interesting though

Wierd indeed!
