The TeraStation Pro II

Hi has anyone got any comments about the The TeraStation Pro II, experiences/alternatives etc? We are looking at the 4TB version as a secondary data backup point for use with Windows Server and BackupExec.

Primary backup will still be to Tape.

We got one of these in work 3 weeks ago but I have not had the time to play with it yet

got the 1TB freestanding unit at work, havent really given it much use but its been handy enough for storing backups on

i like the look of the rackmount ones, given me an idea actually seeing as we were in need of a new storage system for the media students

Ok , I have mucked about with it for a bit
Its pretty easy to configure and setup , speed not bad at all certainly more than enough for Hi def content streaming.
The unit itself (sitting right beside me ) is virtually silent ( very impressed )

Only time will tell on how reliable it is. Personally speaking I would not buy one myself , due to it being a bit expensive ( my choice would have been a qnap model )
