The MSI GS70 Stealth is the company's thinnest gaming laptop yet. At a mere 2.2cm (22mm) thick and weighing less than 2.6kg, the all-black laptop comes dangerously close to Ultrabook territory, but still manages to squeeze in a 17inch Full HD display and NVIDIA dedicated graphics.

The designs, and gaming ability of the new laptops have really come a long way recently, with a GTX 765M backed by Haswell processor this is some machine and looks absolutely amazing. :D :D :D

We've launched before MSI have, OcUK don't hang around, plus its because we have an initial exclusive on this model. :)

We shall get better images over next few days, which I shall post up. :)

Our Clevo's are nowhere near as thin as this and they are not 100% aluminium construction like this is either. With the Razer Blade and MSI Stealth a lot of the premium is because of the design and cost associated, plus paying for the brand name too.

Clevo's however are unbeatable value and their latest Haswell range is absolutely superb, no doubt of that and is the reason why OcUK is now doing a full range of gaming laptops. :)

Well theory is, most of the kit in the laptop is via other manufacturers.

So Intel HM87 chipset, just download from Intel who support Win7.

The onboard LAN, Sound, USB3.0 etc. should all also have Win7 drivers available online.

It is just MSI won't offer a nice easy solution as they only support Windows 8, so you could install Windows 7 but sourcing drivers and any support issues would be down to yourself as MSI will only support Windows 8.
 
I'd love one, but pretty tight not to supply an SSD at that price. SSD is imo essential for laptop, though I suppose a 256GB SSD would put it out at £2k...
 
Daft question but is the graphic on the lid removable? ie is it a sticker or is it engraved/embossed somehow?

Also how big/heavy is the power brick... All very well stating 2.6kg for the laptop itself but I suspect you would not travel without the power supply!


If as I suspect it is a removable sticker and providing it doesn't run into heat issues, it looks to be a great laptop and the one I have been waiting for for the last 6 years!
